Maurice Lacroix has been an active brand since 1975 and had gained immense popularity by 1980. In 1989, Maurice Lacroix acquired the case maker Queloz S.A., which enabled the company to produce watch cases in-house. This ability is unusual in the luxury watch industry.
Their high-end “Les Mécaniques” or “Masterpiece” line of watches helped elevate Maurice Lacroix to the top ranks of Swiss watch makers in the 1990s. Within the past decade, Maurice Lacroix introduced their first fully assembled in-house movement, the “Masterpiece Le Chronographe” and followed that up with an automatic movement in 2011.
